There is snow all around, the brown branches and this beautiful bird’s contrasting colors together make up a beautiful imagery. The bird seems to be contemplating about something in the midst of the wide expanse and peacefulness of the pure, white snow…

Tiny in size, but tall in his own way… a proud bird. Very colorful as well. I painted this proud little bird sitting on a branch, beautiful leaves and delicate branches surround him as he looks at something in a very focused way and feels the breeze of Spring…

Kharagpur, India, where I lived until 2015, is very green and beautiful. There are many such paths (like the one you see above) where people take dreamy morning or leaving walks, enjoying the breeze and the beautiful views of nature around. It is refreshing for both the body and soul. I go around one such path everyday in my wheelchair and was inspired to capture this on paper.
This is a painting of a bowl filled with fresh fruits showing that we should eat fruits to feel fresh and to get the energy that appears to be emanating from this bowl. So in realistic terms, its an energy bowl ;), and a natural one at that! This painting is done using water color on handmade paper.
I have painted these pink Morning Glories to bring their freshness into everyone’s life. So pure, clean, pretty, fresh and yes pink :).
This is a water painting.
Flowers always look beautiful, whether they have dried up or are fresh. This is a bouquet of such flowers. The mix of greens, browns and yellows looks elegant and pretty. This is done in water color.
I love Roses and pink is my favorite color. This painting shows a beautiful combination of the two. In order to add a (very) slight 3-D affect, I painted the roses and leaves first, then cut that out at the boundaries. Then I painted a brown background on another sheet of paper and then pasted the cut-out of the roses’ painting on it. This gives it a very slight 3-D affect.
Twigs in a glass. Money plant in water in a glass. They extract their nutrients from the water!
This is a sketch of Swami Vivekananda. He is known for his wisdom and calms even at a young age.
Rabindranath Tagore was a legend – I don’t even need to talk about that. re was a great poet as well as the composer of the Indian National Anthem. He is still alive through his poems and Bengali music known as “Rabindra sangeet”. I am fond of this sketch because I was able to do it in less than 15 minutes :)
