not only for children

There is an artist in all of us, just waiting to be discovered

Art is not only for children. The adults in my classes come to unwind at the end of a working week, to wake up the creativity they put away years ago, and to leave with a painting they made themselves. No experience needed.

why adults come

Made for busy grown-ups

1

Switch off

One hour away from screens, meetings and to-do lists. While you paint, the only thing to think about is the next brushstroke.

While painting the Buddha, she felt very relaxed and calm. It was just like doing meditation.
Anu, about one of her students
2

Find your creativity again

For anyone who has not held a brush since school, or has been saying “one day I will paint” for years.

Thank you very very very much for sparking the creativity in my mind which was dormant for very long time.
Karthik
3

Take home your own painting

Every few classes you finish a piece to hang at home or give away. Made by you, from the first line to the last colour.

I was so nervous to hold the brush at the beginning … at the end of this course I am much more confident in creating an acrylic painting.

who joins

Working professionals, parents, and anyone who wants some me time

Many of my adult students are working professionals, so the classes are in the evening at the end of the week, online from home or in person. My classes are not only for children, and parents and elder siblings often join in.

Beginners are welcome. I teach in small groups, slowly and step by step, so nobody feels rushed.

It has been years that I have been talking about painting, but doing this for the first time with you was just perfect to now get me started on doing it for the rest of my life.

What you will paint

We try out a variety of things: different mediums, subjects and techniques, from brushstrokes and mixing colours to portraits and figures with light and shadow. The portrait and the figure are from my 2020 acrylic course for adults; the rest are by my students.

What my adult students say

Honestly at the start I was very apprehensive and nervous about joining, but the moment the first session happened I knew I was at the right place.
Ranjana, acrylic course, 2020
You have patiently taught us each and every step at a slow pace. It helped us to easily follow from remote.
Vidhya, online acrylic course, 2020
Learned a lot and felt so happy to see my own art creations.
