Would you like one of my paintings/art pieces for your home or office or for your friends/colleagues? If yes, I would love to create them for you!
Please get in touch with me over email: [email protected] or via Facebook and I will work with you to create something that is special for you and your loved ones.
Process
I’ll setup some time with you to discuss the details of the kind of painting you would like in terms of the subject matter, theme, colors, base material, size etc. You can get a sense of my style by browsing through the paintings on my website and discuss your ideas with me. Besides paintings, I can also make the following:
Shipping and Delivery
I am based in Bangalore, India. If you live in Bangalore, I will coordinate with you to have the art work delivered by Dunzo / Swiggy. For outside of Bangalore, it will be shipped by a reliable courier service available in your city – usually DTDC.
Timelines
It can take anywhere from 1-4 weeks to create a custom painting – it totally depends on the kind of work involved. However, if the art-work is for a festival or has strict timelines, I will try to prioritize this work over others to meet the timelines. I recently created a set of 10 paintings showcasing varieties in the form of leaves – I was able to complete these in less than 7 days as a client wanted to give them as a festive gift to their colleagues.
Cost
I set the price based on the size of the painting and the time and effort it takes me to create it. For other art work as well it is based on a combination of factors, the main one being the time and effort it takes me to work on it.
Looking forward to working with you on your special piece of art!
Hello, I am Anu. Since July 2016, I have been conducting regular art classes for children. The course is designed such that students will be learning art while having fun and vice versa :)
I keep my class size small so that each student can get sufficient attention for better learning. The classes are conducted in three groups: Little Learners (standard 3 and below), Juniors (from standard 4 and above).
I have been conducting classes both Online Google Meet and in-person (Clubhouse, Sumadhura Madhuram)
Class Schedule
The classes are one per week per batch and a child can join any number of batches.
Sample content
Some of the other work involves making crafts using material found in a home. Some of the artwork that the children did recently:

Some of the things that the children will need:
I teach my students different art forms and the material required for that would be communicated to the parents well in advance.
Fees
The fee for each class is Rs. 150/- which can be paid on monthly basis.

Anu is such a wonderful, loving teacher. Her immense passion for craft really amazes me. My both kids have been learning the art from her for almost 3 years. Her friendly, interactive way of teaching makes learning so interesting for them. She knows how to engage kids and brings out the best from them…She is very endearing and affable by nature. My kids look forward so eagerly to their art classes.
My son began to attend Anu Ma’am’ s class since the last 3 months and I see a remarkable interest shift in his love for precision and colouring. I guess it comes from the teacher who is such a wonderful teacher and a great artist and it enthuses the student!!! Anu ma’am I must say is so patient will little children and teaches kids such passion. Very rare to get a teacher like her and I feel blessed and grateful 🙏🙏
Anu Ma’am is an epitome of Talent, Passion, Ingenious creativity with innovative techniques in art. Her classes are well structured, paced meticulously and judiciously, commensurate with the age and the maturity levels of the class.
When she teaches, her simple yet carefully thought-out strokes with a dash of vibrant colours, takes a whole new meaning on the paper, making it easy for the student to follow, learn and bring simple art to life.
My son of 6 yrs has acquired an interest in art, thereby channelising his energy and also giving him the confidence to do his school art assignments with ease.
I am glad, I found Anu Ma’am.
Anu is an excellent teacher. She always comes up with unique ideas and easy steps for making complex arts in each class for children of different grade levels. She is very friendly, very patient, and helps each child to follow step by step while finishing up their artwork. She also teaches varieties of artworks including Craft works and drawings using crayons, oil pastels, acrylic paints, water colors. My son, Rohan, loves, and enjoys every art session with Anu.😍❤️🤗
This year has been tough but it is been particularly hard on the children and not being able to see their friends as much, they’ve been floundering. When Anu said she would conduct online art classes for kids, I jumped at the chance. And I’m so glad to say it was a wonderful decision. She somehow magically manages to keep so many kids engaged so productively for an hour and gets them to produce simple, clean beautiful art that they’re so proud of. My son loves art classes and his interaction with his ‘Anu didi’ every Friday. Anu your classes have been just what our kids needed in these times. Can’t wait for my child to be able to come to learn from you in person (soon hopefully).
Dear Anu, first of all, I would like to say that you are not only a mentor for my daughter, you are just more than that. I can’t thank you enough for the positive impact you have created in so many children as well as their parents (including me)I could see that my daughter has now become more confident when it comes to drawing now than ever before. Being a teacher is not easy, I would like to appreciate all the hard work you have put in to teach these kids something new and different.
Since last 3 years, my daughter is in Anu ‘s art classes.
When she joined the class she had very basic knowledge of colors, types of painting. She has shown a lot of developments over the years.
We are happy to be part of and continue to further.
Thank you so much, Anu.
Anu, you are not only a great artist, but also a very loving and patient teacher. All kids, including mine, love you and your art classes. Keep smiling, shining and inspiring like you always do❤️
Anu..you are an amazing artist…and you are an excellent teacher too..You teach the kids with so much patience and compassion and give them a lot of time…my daughter eagerly waits for your class every week…what you did for the kids during their holidays in this covid situation was very remarkable…You are simply amazing Anu…I wish that you create many more amazing artworks and also share your art skills with lots of other people.. you are a great inspiration Anu… You have much more to accomplish… All the best.
There is an artist in all of us, just waiting to be discovered. My art classes are not restricted to kids and I often find some of the parents/elder siblings joining in for the classes :)
I organize workshops and art courses for adults as well. The workshops are typically for a couple of hours on a single day while the courses run for several weeks, one day a week (typically on a weekend).
These are some of the workshops that I have conducted in the past:
If you and/or your friends would like to attend a workshop, please get in touch with me. It doesn’t matter if you’d be going to hold a brush for the first time or were passionate about art in the past – the art courses are both fun and people have rediscovered their love for art through the process.
I will post about the upcoming workshops on this page.
During the summer and winter vacations, I conduct special art camps for children. These art camps are focused on learning some form of art starting from the basics to getting into the advanced stages.

This is a painting of colorful leaves. Here I wanted to show the autumn season, a time of drying leaves… During this time, we can see a tremendous variety in leaf colors – green, yellow, brown etc. and that… I love to watch…

Azadirachta indica or Neem tree is renowned for its robust growth and resilience to harsh conditions. It is known as a medicinal valued plant, and each part of it is useful.
Acer is a genus of trees and shrubs commonly known as maples. Maples are such sociable trees. They are always rustling and whispering to you.
Sometime back, I started working with round and black canvases as an experiment. This is what I love doing – Art Experiments! Here is a set of two-in leaves.
About the first of the set:
Starting with new green leaves with flowers and fruits on the tree as they grow. These specifically are Neem tree leaves. I had painted one twig of a Neem tree and not just the leaves but its flowers and the fruits known as “Nibori” (in Hindi) are delicately beautiful. I love observing the changing colors of leaves, the white bright flowers, and the beautiful shades of its fruits white, yellow, green, and brown always attracted me.
About the second one of the set:
The Red maple tree (Acer rubrum) is a deciduous tree well-known for its vibrant autumn leaves. I tried to paint two of these leaves in all their glorious colors – yellow, green, orange, red, and brown! In the autumn season, leaves start drying, and as they dry we can see different colors from shades of green to shades of brown and everything in between!
Medium: Acrylic painting on round black stretched Canvas, Size: 8 in diameter
Sometime back, I started working with black canvases as an experiment and have really enjoyed it. This one is a set of two types of leaves.
In this set of twin paintings, for the first, I painted brownish dry Peepal leaves that have fallen on the ground. I feel like Autumn is the second spring when every leaf is a flower in the shades of white, yellow, green, red, and brown! Autumn carries more gold in its pocket than all the other seasons…
In this season leaves dry up slowly and that changes their colors over a period of time. The leaves are all falling, and they are falling like they are falling in love with the ground…
In the second painting of the set, I pained a leaf with its veins showing clearly. This is how beautiful a clear picture of the leaves’ veins look like in shades of green.
Soulful… both of these.

It has been a long-time dream to make the painting of this iconic “old building” of IIT Kharagpur. I grew up in Kharagpur, so it has been something I have been thinking about for a while.
For those who might not have heard of it, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur), popularly known as IIT Kgp, is a technical university in Kharagpur, India. It was established on 18 August 1951, around 71 years ago! This one is the first of the IITs to be established and is recognized as an Institute of national importance. For me though, who spent her childhood and most of the years of life in IIT Kharagpur’s lap like a child, has a very different meaning and description of IIT Kharagpur.
For me though, Kharagpur is my love! A small town that feels like heaven on earth. You will find unity and love, where neighbors treat you like family. It is a place in which you can have the opportunity of learning about different cultures, learning new languages and enjoying food from different parts of India.
It is a place where you can walk freely and safely on roads, you can play anywhere outside your house, and can fly in a pollution free environment like a bird! Listening to all this, I am sure you are also eager to visit my Kharagpur :).
The IIT campus is full of greenery.. You will find big shady trees all around, flowering plants for butterflies, bees and for flower lovers like me and fruit-bearing one’s for everyone to share the fruit. Basically living in IIT Kharagpur feels like living in a forest without any fear!
One of the kids I had taught art to when I was in Kgp was moving to the US for college. She asked me to make a painting for her that she could keep in her dorm room. She wanted a painting that would remind her of her sweet memories of IIT Kharagpur and also of the time spent with me and which could make her feel close to home in her new home away from home. As soon as she asked me if I could, I agreed right away without much thinking!
As I was working on this painting, my heart was filled with sweet memories of the years spent in Kharagpur. As memories came flooding back, I felt like I was reliving many small and big moments of time spent in Kharagpur. Every small detail I worked on reminded me of the past and I felt rejuvenated.
The best part was that it did not take me too many days to complete, I was done in four days. I believe that happened because painting this was pure joy and I did with all my emotions flowing!
Each artwork I work on also teaches me something. From this one, I learnt that when you are working on something (e.g. a painting), do it without any stress and enjoy the process. And if you do that, you will feel completely relaxed and full of happiness when you are done. That’s how I felt and am still feeling as I write this blog about it :).
In this fluid art painting, I’ve captured the essence of how the splashes of color have transformed my life into a vibrant and inspiring one. These hues have enabled me to express my artistic flair amidst the serene backdrop of a white canvas, creating a symphony of colors that reflect the purity, passion, positivity, knowledge, harmony, calmness, and love that have enriched my existence. This vivid burst of colors has empowered me to overcome the struggles and challenges in my life, bringing a sense of clarity and illumination to my world.
Medium: Acrylic painting on canvas, Size: 6 in × 6 in
I am trying out abstract fluid painting on canvas. On first look, it will look very bright, full of colors, and an eye-catching painting. But if you go into the depth of it, you will be surprised to know what the panorama of the mind looks like.
Let’s cover the panorama of our mind and get a 360 view! The big area with the light & soft peach color is the part of the brain where we have a clear, sorted, and easy flow of our thoughts. Areas with light green & light blue with white and those with brown color patches show somewhat confused and unsorted areas. Brown areas are the brain’s most disturbing, unsorted, and confusing areas and we need to work on those thoughts. We don’t want those to get mingled and/or take over our brain’s pure, clean and happy areas to ruin those!
So, work on keeping your brain sorted, clean, and filled with good and happy thoughts! Your happy thoughts will permeate your surroundings as well.
